yeah we ran into that emergency braking issue too. its disappointing you can't also turn off the beeping. you can only set the volume to '1'. anyway, I forget what its called but you have to turn off the crash avoidance system in the car menu in the infotainment system.
backing up with bike rack or trailer?
OK, so I have a SEL trim so pretty much all the smart things they could put on it. I have a bike rack on a hitch and when backing up I have been unable to consistently turn off the safety devices to allow me to backup any faster than a slow roll without the car slamming on the brakes. I know there is a simple way to disable it and I just haven't figured it out. The icons that pop up on the display are unclear and frustrating. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Could you do me a favor and screen shot your software version? Mine has been updated and "fixed" atleast 5 times but when I check the software screen, none of the numbers ever change.
