During my first week of owning my Taos S, some A-hole clipped my mirror when I was parked on the street and didn't bother of informing me. At first I thought it was no big deal, as VW told me it would only be $63CAD to replace the top shell (not horrible), but I then noticed that also the bottom of the mirror housing had cracked. VW told me it would be $300CAD+ to replace the bottom as they can only order it with all of the internals! Does anyone know if there are any other ways I could get this piece, i.e. any aftermarket suppliers? I know the car is new, so hopes are low, but figured it would be worth asking!
