Hi! I was hoping to throw this out here and see if anyone has had this happen before.
I have a 2022 Taos S fully loaded, I am a co-driver on it. Today, the other owner was driving it and accidentally backed up into another vehicle. The car didn't alert in any way nor did it break when the vehicle was very clearly in the red area of the backup camera.
Fully driver responsibility for not paying attention, but I am curious if the system has done this to anyone else before and how you addressed it. We are a bit nervous about it now because this is a scenario that we wanted the rear collision warning for, and it didn't act as it was supposed to, and now we have a nice dent to show for it :/
Thanks in advance!

actually, some versions of the taos will brake for stationary objects when backing up, I have to turn off the collision braking when my bike rack is attached. i'm not sure what a fully loads taos S is, that is an oxymoron. Fully loaded would be as SEL.. there is also collision detection for cross traffic (moving), which is a different function and its possible that a trim level could have one or both of these.
