AC setting in car-net

Hi,
Is there any way to adjust the auto start settings in car net so my AC won't go on? Since its getting colder, I'd like the heat to go on.
Thanks.

It's automatic based on the outside temp and the temp set on left and right inside temp.

Any idea what the outside temp should be? (non-auto climate control) When and if remote start works, mine has come on at 26 degrees F.
that sounds odd unless your inside temp is set to ~30. how do you determine the ac turns on? auto climate control being on doesn't mean the ac is on. when outside air is less than inside setting, the ac isn't needed to maintain desired inside temp
A/C is used even when heating in cold temperatures to dehumidify/defog the air.

I forgot about that one. most cars only use the AC when defrost is selected. don't know about this one.

Thanks, I was going crazy trying to figure out why the AC button is lit everytime I remote start, LOL

So I should have the a/c on as well as the heat ?
AC does not mean cooling. It means Air Conditioning, conditioning the air. In a car, where outside air is constantly being brought in, conditioning the air helps reduce mustiness from excess humidity even in cooler weather. In very hot humid weather, recirculating the interior air until most of the humidity is gone is best, again with AC on.

It’s very seldom that I turn off AC. You might do it when the outside air temp is in the low 70s and dry because sometimes the VW climate control has no idea what to do when the incoming air is the same as the inside desired temp. Sometimes that’s also a time to run recirc to prevent a strange smell from the confused system, or just open your windows and enjoy the fresh air.

I’m searching the same answer, hence how I found this page . It’s currently snowing in update New York I let the car run twice and the windows never melted till I went out and turned everything on heat
AC is on and NOT blowing heat. It 32 out. So I went out, turned off the AC button and then the windows defrosted
I hate this feature. I go to work at 0200 and start the car prior. All week I got into a cold Taos 🥶
That’s bizarre behavior in a car with climate control. Heat comes on with AC pressed in every other VWs I’ve owned. And I have owned many.

I’m coming from a 2012 Subaru Legacy to a 2022 VW. If that’s the case. It’s just part of the learning curve ?

And the frozen doors won’t defrost with A/C. Maybe VW should come to my house and start my car and turn the heat on for what I paid for my Taos
