As I was driving a pebble hit the windshield and formed a crack.

I've never had to deal with this, so who do I contact first the insurance? or car dealership?

I know that if the window needs to be replaced there is a camera that would need to be recalibrated and such.... and also would it be an original window?

I suggest you call your insurer first. They should then direct you to a vendor for replacement. I would be surprised if it was not an OEM windshield given the requirements. It will take time for after market suppliers to tool up for the limited Taos market. Very interested to know the cost of replacement.

Safelite might be able to do a repair that will at least stop the crack from spreading if it's going to be a while to get new glass.

I got 2 chips within 24 hours! still haven't found a replacement. tbd!
