the price hikes are not that bad in reality but dealer mark up will suck.
I don't see any dealer markup on these Taos. They is a ton of stock and fast shipping to North America from Mexico. Here in Canada there are tons of new 2022's on the lots that will have to be cleared as the 2023s start coming in this month.

Just spoke to a few dealers in the GTA for availability and ETAs of the 2023 Taos.

All the ones I spoke to are taking orders, and no markups.

I inquired about the Highline, was told ETA from VW is December or earlier. It could be quicker for the Trendline and Comfortline though, from the ETA @tuffcalc was given.

On a side note, have you guys seen the new two-tone colour options for the Highline? They have it in Silver/Black, Red/Black, and Cornflower Blue/Black. Looks sleek!

Mine should be here end of the month, early next month. I think they are giving you a Dec timeline to try and get you to buy a 2022 leftover.
The thing is, I actually wouldn't mind taking a 2022 Taos Highline, but it'd have to come with some incentive or discount... For the Highline, the MSRP increased CAD $1000 from 2022 to 2023.

It wouldn't make sense to pay full MSRP for a 2022 at this point with the delivery of 2023 models just around the corner.

Agreed - but I think our chances on getting a discount at a leftover 2022 are pretty slim.

I finally got my taos but with missing features.. no blind spot with rear cross traffic alerts, no rain sensing wipers, no adaptive cruise control due to chip shortage.

I really wanted the safety features especially since I had them on our previous 2019 Jetta and they were useful. Felt like a extra security check was being done in case I missed something and it probably saved me few times.

Will drop a full taos review after I drive around with it a little bit more.

Mine didn’t come with blind spot and rear traffic . I could add it on with pioneer blind spot / rear traffic sensor kit . The kit 900 bucks though then looking at another 400ish for install
