How many times did you have to top off the oil along the way. I've never owned a VW (and there have been 20 or more) that didn't need to be topped off between oil changes.

None. And 'm 9400 miles into the next OCI and it's still right on the full mark.

So what can we gather from the analysis? The good/bad if applicable?
Not much really. The oil stayed in-grade (ie it hasn't thinned or thickened outside of a 20wt), fuel contamination is at a reasonable level, wear metals are high (expected because this is the factory fill oil that was in during break-in) and the additives in the oil still had some life left in them. (Pretty much exactly what the blackstone analysis said) Generally with UOAs the important thing is long-term trends and outliers. This one was more for just because Factory fill analysis can usually be interesting with the high wear metals. I also did this to demonstrate that there isn't much reason to change your factory fill early.
