1 Week in. I specifically asked if this vehicle was part of the recall and they assured me they could not legally sell me it if it was, but here we are with a check engine light. It is the same symbol that is on the gas tank. I have tried reseating the cap and it did go away for a few hours but came back. I haven't even filled the gas yet since purchasing and only have 78 miles, still at 3 quarters full.

Scheduled Service for Monday, but now having some buyers remorse.

Need to pull your code, I had same thing it was code 2421 for a vent pump, and no eta on the part though. Luckily it's fine to drive while I wait for the part.

Is pulling the code something I can do? If so how? I drove around today more than normal and now its gone again.

Edit: spoke too soon, back again.

Most auto part shops like Autozone, O'reillys etc will have code readers, they can check the code and tell you what it is. You can also buy code readers on ebay for under $20, pretty good to have if you have a few cars.

took it in today, P290A, Leak detection pump ordered. I just don't get how a brand new car needs a new part already.
Maybe it's the same part I'm waiting on, hopefully will be in soon and that will be it.
Did they say yours was ok to drive, or are they keeping it?

And yeah, there seems to be quite a few issues w/ these cars, keeping fingers crossed that these issues will be worked out soon and won't be ongoing problems.

They said it was ok to drive and to only worry if the icon is blinking and stop driving immediately.

because that’s reassuring. good lord. 🤦🏼‍♀️

mine is in for the second time in 4 months—same issue. looking at the notes from the first service, it appears as though they do not know the issue and are now replacing parts thar there was no issue with in june. 😐

Jeez... well 3x in my state is the lemon law. Hoping it doesn't come to that but we'll see.
